Dear Members! We want to share several news and information related with our international CCI regional meetings and activities. This month has been full of activities for our "Go Gold" and "Light Up Gold September"; we encourage you to send writeups of your golden activities for the next newsletter. In May,  the reconstituted CCI Africa Regional Committee Inaugural meeting, was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Three  Task Teams (TT) were formed under CCI Africa: Supportive and Palliative Care; Advocacy and Awareness Building and Business Development. +Read the report here
The 9th European CCI Regional conference was held in April in Lisboa, Portugal. A major topic, which was discussed with the European members, was the future development and growth of CCI Europe. +Read the report here
In San José, Costa Rica, the 10th conference for Latin-American countries brought together 13 foundation participants from 13 countries. It put  emphasis on establishing priorities for the region according to the results of the Regional Childhood Cancer mapping study undertaken  by CCI, FNH, SickKids and UICC.+Read the report here
The American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) and Amazon have created innovative campaigns inside the US for raising funds, awareness and communication on needs of children/adolescents with cancer. +Read more
CCI and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) signed an agreement to work together for training professionals working in pediatrics, increase awareness and mobilize resources to benefit children with cancer. CCI Europe initiated this relationship and had 2 pilot collaborations in Eastern Europe and Africa in 2016. The initial collaborative agreement was signed in 2017 +Read more
In Costa Rica, Giámala Foundation has developed an innovative initiative, creating CoWorks areas to raise funds. +Read more
On this world hepatitis day, MAHAK highlights the major obstacle to eradicate this disease. Hepatitis is associated with incidence of liver cancer +Read more
Guided by  the inspirational motto “Never Give Up” the Lebanese  American University LAU’s Survivors Team reached the top of Mount Elbrus.  This was done to boost the hopes of children fighting cancer with the support of CHANCE Association in Lebanon. +Read more here
